Ionized Water

E-mail Print PDF

One of the most common ingredients in beauty products today is water.  Oftentimes it is labeled as water, spring water distilled water or even ionized water.  Ionized water?  Are you a little puzzled?  Keep reading.

Ionized water, a form of alkaline water, is water that has gone through the process of electrolysis in an effort to separate the positive and negative charges that are naturally present in water.  Some consider this water type to be an antioxidant - minimizing the effects of free radicals on the body.

Ionized water is also rumored to hydrate the cells of the body at a much faster rate than that of other types of water.  This makes it an excellent choice for ailments such as dehydration or dry skin.

Have you identified any beauty products containing ionized water?
