La Fresh Nail Polish Remover Pads

E-mail Print PDF

La Fresh Nail Polish Remover Pads (box of 6, single pouches), tuscan orange scented nail removal pads that are formulated with aloe vera and horsetail extracts, free of acetone and parabens.

First off let me say I love these little pads! While the odor may be a bit strong, yet tolerable, they do a great job at removing all of the polish off the nail plate while leaving a tiny bit of oil to nourish the nail.  So you really don’t have that dry, sticky feel you may get after using commercial brand removers or even acetone at times.

The one thing I would have liked to see from this inexpensive,go green gem, especially for professional use, is a plastic backing.  I am the nail technician who indeed, keeps her nails polished 95% of the time.  Yes, clients are amazed at how I have perfected the art of removing their polish without ruining my own, but not without the help of a plastic backed removal pad.

I also like the idea of using these on freelancing assignments.  I provides a way better presentation and really impress those clients that are green conscious.

Sampling Poetisa's Palette

I must tell you that it always excites me to find goodies in my mailbox.  This product line is called Poetisa's Palette and prides itself on natural products for the hair and skin.

Before we go into the actual products, I would like to share my impression of the product delivery and more:

Packaging

I really like the small jars.  When it comes to natural products, it is a must that I be able to get every last drop out of the package.  Jars are good.  Natural products are usually not cheap!  Nothing should go to waste.  Great choice!

There was also a personal touch that I really enjoyed.  There was a post-card with instructions on how to use each product as well as warnings.  For example, you are advised not to use a specific product on the face.  I really enjoyed this personal touch.

Phthalates

We are already aware that products should be labeled with the ingredients.  More and more you are probably noticing labels that read ________ FREE.  Phthalates (pronounced fal-ates) can easily fill one of these blanks.  That's right, we've got another chemical on our hands, folks!

What is it?
A chemical compound, phthalates, is also know as a plasticizer.  In the beauty world, this chemical compound can be found in nail polish, makeup (maintaining the color) and lotions (even spreading).  Phthalates are also responsible for making your fragrance last longer.
