BoBeam Shampoo Bar: Goat's Milk & Honey

E-mail Print PDF

If you recall, we have already tested a different variety of the BoBeam Shampoo Bar.  This time around we are focusing on Goat's Milk & Honey.  Sounds amazingly moisturizing!  Lets get down to business!

Fragrance

This shampoo bar smells pretty.  LOL! What does pretty smell like?  Let's see how I can describe this.  You see the bar is made of goat's milk and honey.  Honey has an interesting smell on its own.  But wait, there's more!  This woman actually pressed flowers on the honey side, yall!!!  That's right the bar of soap contains flower petals!!!  Are you understanding 'pretty' now.  While using the shampoo bar, you will begin to smell the light fragrance of flowers.  Yes!  That was an excellent added bonus to a shampoo bar.

Functionality

This shampoo bar is a bit more moisturizing than the first.  My hair had more movement after using it, which let me know that more of my own natural oils remained.  The use of honey (natural humectant) definitely helped to seal in the moisture.  Like all of her shampoo bars this bar can also be used on the body.  I opted not to go this route because I did notice that shea oil was included.  I can only imagine the way this bar feels on the skin.

Packaging

This is one beautiful bar of soap.  I love the way she has it halved so that you can distinctly see the honey and goat's milk. I couldn't really see the flowers until after I removed the packaging.  It was like opening a gift.  Great job!  Ingredients are displayed clearly and the labeling is just right.

Investment: $5.00

Mega Care Tea Tree Oil

Tea Tree OilTea Tree Oil is one of my favorite oils!  I had a client with a severe case of seborrheic dermitits.  If you are unaware, seborrheic dermitits is a condition that results in flaky, yet oily scales on the scalp.  This particular client was infected around the hair line with heavy build up in the crown area. When infants are infected with this condition, it is called cradle cap.

Canola oil

Not too long ago, I reviewed African Royale Hot Six Oil.  As always, I pay attention to the ingredient list and this time I saw canola oil.  I had been experiencing some skin issues and this oil seemed to calm it all down.  This experience caused me to ponder the ingredients. The top five ingredients were - olive oil, canola oil, wheat germ oil, sweet almond oil and safflower oil respectively.

Having researched and heard of the benefits of some of the others, I was curious about canola oil.  I cook with it from time to time, have read some conflicting opinions about it in the past and now I'm finding it as the second ingredient in a product that seemed to work well for me. So, let's break this down!
