Satin Blends Whipped Body Creme

E-mail Print PDF

If you listened to the Nappturalite Radio Show a few weeks ago, you may have heard my indirect review of this product.  I actually solicited opinions and reactions from clients in the salon.  There are so many wonderful products available and so many are beginning to make their own products.  I wish I could try more but, I have a dilemma.  I am allergic to one of the most popular ingredients - shea butter.  While I can use products that contain it for short periods of time, I cannot use products consisting primarily of shea butter.

In my live review, I disclosed this information and do you know that the founder contacted to inform me that she makes custom blends!?  Now, I already gave the customer service for Satin Blends a stellar review, but this takes the cake.  What a way to make a girl feel special!?

Fragrance

On thing you will notice upon visiting the website is the long list of fragrance options.  I thought this was amazing!  No one wants to smell like someone else.  Satin Blends even offers fragrances reminiscent of those you may find at Bath & Body Works or Victoria's Secret.  My scent of choice was White Tea and Ginger.  It sounds interesting, huh?  Refreshing.

Packaging

Clean, simple and the ingredients list is easy to read.  I love the fact that the body creme is in a jar.  I want every single drop of it!

Consistency

Okay, I lie to you not...when I opened the jar and looked - I screamed and started jumping up and down.  My son was asking me why I was so happy...LOL!  The body creme appeared to be exactly the way I liked it.  The first time you dip your finger in, you will be amazed.  It actually has a texture similar to that of whipped cream.  It is extremely delicate and soft; light and fluffy even.

Functionality

Because of the light consistency, I did not want to dig in.  I later found that I needed to 'dig in' a bit in order to spread the creme all over my body.  The creme is extremely light and does not leave any residue.  You will not feel greasy at all.  Your skin will be left feeling soft.  Interestingly enough, the tagline for the company is 'Satin Hair, Satin Skin'.  It's true.  My skin feels really smooth.  I will admit that I do like to oil it up, though.  I wouldn't have minded a little more oil and moisture left on my skin.  True to the tagline though; my skin is smooth.

Investment: $10.00 USD
Note: Pssst! They are having a sale right now!

Traci,
I am exceedingly glad that you have introduced me to the body butter. I have used it for my diabetic feet. First they started out ashy white and after a week they now have their color back. even my foot doctor complimented them. He had less work to do this time. When ever he came to do my feet he would tell the nurse to cancel rest of day and put on a costruction hat! What was bad it it was only 8:00 am and his office closes at 3:00 pm. My own kids thought I was playing in flour they was so ashy. My son tried to steal my wallet because I fell asleep with my shoes and socks off and he thouoght I was dead they was so dry. LOL Traci thank you so much this product gave me back the color in my feet and time to message them. That is always good for diabetic feet.

Burt's Bees: Natural Toothpaste

We have reviewed a number of dental hygiene products so far, but this one was the most edumacational. LOL!

I actually purchased this from Wal-mart and got a children's version for my son (that story later).  I purchased this goodness at my local Wal-mart and here's how the checkout process went:

Cashier: Is this toothpaste?!

Me: Yes

Cashier: Well, I sure hope it works!  They have some $0.99 toothpaste that works just fine.

And then we laugh.
