Okay, I've been holding back on yall! I have a shelf full of empty bottles that are awaiting a lovely review. This one right here is something special! I guess you can say that I was blessed to have minimal skin issues and so I've never really had a skin care regimen. However, now that I am getting older wiser and my body is changing; so is my skin.
Finding this product was a definite blessing. I was in Whole Foods one day looking for coconut oil (imagine that) when I saw an image of this beautifully glowing sister by the name of Malikah Divine. Her likeness in addition to information regarding an upcoming seminar was placed strategically in front of the shelves where her products were placed. I was intrigued.
I purchased the Sunshine of Lemongrass and one other product, which I will review later.
Sniff
I am partial to the smell of lemongrass. I love it! So, I was sold upon flipping the top.
Consistency
The consistency of the product is not as thick as you would expect, but nonetheless very effective. There are even pieces of lemongrass floating around in the concoction. After reading the ingredients, I couldn't help but notice the absence of sodium laurel sulfate or sodium laureth sulfate. To have these substances absent from a body wash is very rare.
Did it work?
Absolutely, yes! I used this stuff and even allowed a friend to partake. Yes, we love it! It does not produce the massive amount of suds that a typical body wash would and I love that! The suds are delicate, soothing and fragrant. A combination of the fragrance and the confidence of knowing that I my skin (and ultimately my body) was not absorbing any harmful detergents or preservatives really sold me. This is one of those products that give you the 'Oh, that's me!?' effect after you get out of the shower. You will smell amazing!
Now that I think of it, the name rings true. Sunshine of Lemongrass. Lemongrass, in the aromatherapy world, is known to heighten your mood, uplift or awaken (antidepressant/stress reliever).
