Not too long ago, I made my very first trip to Trader Joe's. For those of you who are unaware, Trader Joe's is a little market that has a niche of offering a selection of products that make it easier for folks with diet restrictions to shop (i.e., vegetarians, low sodium diets, gluten free products, vegans, etc.) - not to mention excellent prices! I normally purchase Dove for Sensitive Skin, however since beginning my ingredients journey, I have become more conscious of what I am putting on my body and/or allowing my system to absorb. I found out that Dove, even the sensitive skin rendition, contains SLS. Let me tell you, it was a sad day for me when I discovered that fact.
As I'm strolling through the aisles, you guessed it - I made a stop in the beauty/personal care aisle. I just can't stay out of those aisles! I notice this Oatmeal & Honey soap and immediately grabbed it and took a whiff! Yummy! I had to give it a try!
The soap produces a great lather and smells amazing. I tried it for a solid week and and was very pleased with the outcome. The soap leaves your skin with a very soft and light fragrance, but more importantly your skin is clean. I was surprised at just how clean my skin felt. As you continue to use the soap, you will actually see the oatmeal flakes peek through!
I even let a friend use this soap to wash his hands (so I thought), but apparently the soap smelled so good he washed his face with it! LOL! He later asked what kind of soap I had because he couldn't stop smelling it on his face and he wanted some. So, if you have a Trader Joe's in your area give this soap a try.
