Grow It: How to Grow Afro-Textured Hair to Maximum Lengths in the Shortest Time

There has been so much talk about Grow It: How To Grow Afro-Textured Hair To Maximum Lengths In The Shortest Time in the natural hair community that I thought I'd give this book a read.  Judging from the photos on the cover alone, Chicoro has clearly experienced growth.  While small in size, this book is full of factual information as well as a few enlightening moments.

A word of warning to those who are not passionate about hair - meaning the structure, bonds and the actual science of hair - your eyes may glaze while reading certain portions of this text.  Chicoro includes regimen, science and experience in this brief writing.  I found the book to bring me a few reminders and also expose some interesting techniques.

Chicoro discloses a specific method of washing and detangling the hair that I found to be very interesting.  Without ruining her book sales and simply giving that information to you, I encourage you to either ask someone or read the book for yourself.

While it wasn't the most exciting read for me, I found this book to be interesting and quite factual overall.  The techniques she shared are worth a try.

Grapeseed Oil

When it comes to natural beauty this natural oil has many benefits.

Health Benefits

According to a study University of Maryland report, grapeseed oil has been proven to lower cholesterol and high blood pressure.  In addition the extract has inhibited the growth of cancer cells (in test tubes only).

If you have time to relax a local massage table, this may be the oil you want to request as it decreases stress in the body.  Because it comes from grapes, you can definitely consume this oil.  This oil is naturally low in cholesterol and due to its actual vitamin and mineral content, can actually be a safe alternative.
