This is one of the books I read prior to going natural. To be a fictional story, Nappily Ever After is a surprisingly inspiring story. Without telling you all about the book (if you have not read it), the story is about a woman who is questioning a number of things in her life - including her relationship. She decides to cut off all of her hair and this decision changes her life in a number of ways.
While reading the book, I wondered if something as 'simple' as a hair choice could in fact bring with it so many other life changes. Having been natural for quite some time now, I can honestly say 'yes'. This fictional story mirrors the natural journey in an inspiring and non-fictional way.
If you have friends who are turned off about natural hair or perhaps have a hard time receiving the significance of this decision, this book may be a great way to start the conversation.
This was the first book in a series of books by Trisha R. Thomas. No worries the other books will be read and reviewed for certain.
