As you are aware, the Weekly Webcam will now include client photos, mannequin shots (Naomi) or even my own. A nice mixed bag is always nice, right?
This is the first shot fresh from the salon. Our client came in with lovely hanging locs and wanted a style. This was my absolute first time styling locs and I was nervous. I style braids, twists, free hair and all that but I was so nervous about locks! I think I did okay. It's on now!
This particular style consists of the locs braided and then styled in a fishtail-like braiding method to create what you see here. The purpose of doing it this way was to create a multi-wear style. I am a huge fan of multi-wear styles. When she is finished with the pulled-back glamour, she can take the braided locks apart for a wavy look.
This multi-wear style lasts up through the next scheduled retwist.

So, I check my good mailbox and guess what?!?! I have a sample of this goodness - 
! When it comes to styling lotions and milks I have to be extremely careful because I, unlike the majority of folks, have a tree nut allergy. So yes, high concentrations of shea will not work for me. Oh how I would love to use the products that contain shea butter - I just can't. Anywhoo, I'm reading the attached brochure to find that the milk is that of the wonderful coconut! Yes, the fruit that grows closest to the sun.
As the ingredients journey continues I cannot help but notice the various types of water used in products. There is plain water, spring water, distilled water and even more variety. Isn't water just water? I'm afraid not.
