Now, that I am in the salon more I'm finding that it is much more difficult to dedicate time to doing my own hair.  I may be able to squeeze in a few minutes between clients or have a desire to whip something up before going out, but other than that - that's about it.

This weekly webcam had me rolling! You'll understand why in a moment.  If you can't tell, I have this thing for updo's,  I love them!  Well, my honey loves them on me so that's a plus.  I decided to whip something up before we went out.

Well, my honey saw it from the front and was cool, but then he saw this little dangly thing I had going on.  Well, allow me to explain.  You see, I wanted to do something different.  I grabbed for a cowrie shell and threw that bad boy onto my hanging twist.  I told myself that I would grow one loc.  I know...I know...it was one of those days.

Well, he is not one to hold his tongue, so he told me how he felt.  Here's where the funny comes in.  Do you know this BAMA told me that I looked like Prince Hakeem from Coming to America!?!?! AHHHH!!!!  LOL!

All I could do was laugh because yall...the brother was telling the truth.  I immediately flashed back to the movie and all I could do was laugh.  Whew! 

Allow me to give you a closer look of the Hakeem-ism.

What I thought was funky and different, this brother called it Prince Hakeem.

So, you know what this one is called, right?  Yes indeed - Prince Hakeem.

FYI - the other side has flat two-strand twists coming up on the side.  I was just two through with all the Coming to America comparisons, that we had to focus on this side.
