I remember when I used to consider Target to be a Walmart for snobs, but oh no, no, no...Either I am now a snob or Target is doing something right. Today is a good day, so I'll go with the latter. I frequent the store so much that my eyes are trained to locate the bright clearance stickers. My, my, my! Target continues to impress me by the week.
I'm sure you're aware of the partnerships they've made with major designers like Isaac Mizrahi and Jean Paul Gualtier (most recent). Well now they are tapping into the natural haircare market, yall! I'm not only talking about caring for natural hair. I'm talking about an entire aisle dedicated to products that contain primarily natural ingredients! March 28th will be a wonderful day at Target for two reasons - Jane Carter and Miss Jessie!
Jane Carter Solutions
This woman's story is amazing. She is a stylist, educator, herbalist and chemist - now business owner. Her products are natural and are designed for all hair types (relaxed or natural). I have actually sat in on a few of her calls and let me tell you - this woman knows her stuff!
Her focus is on the overall health of the hair. Her extensive background and experience make her a very credible resource. This woman's business has grown by using the Internet - no fancy marketing campaigns - the Internet and word of mouth alone. Now with products featured in a host of magazines, Jane Carter Solutions is definitely a product to try. It will be available in Target Stores on March 28th. Reviews forthcoming.
Miss Jessie's

Now, if you haven't heard of this product - my oh my where have you been? Set to arrive in Target stores on March 28th, Miss Jessie's is a product line dedicated to the curly girls out there. The website contains tutorials on how to use the product, before and after shots and more.
I have actually seen a few queens who swear by this stuff and their hair actually looks fabulous! Needless to say, we'll be testing it out to let you know what we think about it.
So, mark your calendars for March 28th and be sure to check out a Target Store near you! Kudos Target!

It was a typical day at the salon and in walks my gorgeous client with a little shopping bag. I paid it no mind until she spoke.
Deriving from the seed of the jojoba plant, jojoba oil can be found in a number of natural skin and hair care products. While it is called jojoba oil, it is actually a wax extracted from the seed of the jojoba plant. The primary reason why it can be found in many hair and skin products is because of its uncanny molecular resemblance to human sebum.
